The client
One venue, four audiences
Strandpaviljoen Zeezicht sits at Zeeweg 50 in Castricum aan Zee (North Holland), around 40 minutes from Amsterdam. The venue is open daily from 09:00 to 00:00, with the kitchen serving from 10:00 to 21:00.
The pavilion was named best beach pavilion in North Holland two years in a row (Strandverkiezingen 2023 and 2024). Its guests are diverse: restaurant visitors, wedding couples, business guests booking meetings and groups booking a package.
The starting point
A site that didn't match the venue
The existing WordPress site was outdated and didn't match the quality of the venue. Every audience landed in the same flat structure, so nobody found the right information quickly.
The brief: a complete rebuild into a custom site, with a structure where restaurant guests, wedding couples, business guests and groups each have their own route — in three languages and manageable by the team itself.

Dutch, English and German with a consistent structure and correct hreflang, so each language version is fully discoverable in its own right.

An AI-powered CMS the team uses to update content themselves, plus an AI chat that instantly answers guest questions about opening hours, the menu and reservations.
